This old house is worn out after nearly
80 years of service... the roof has a few leaks and the floors are sagging what
to do? The property is in a nice location with a pleasant Eagle Harbor view. We would like to clear the land and build a new home on the site.
Is the old house a tear-down destined for the
landfill? No... There's a better way... Reduce-Reuse-Recycle! Reduce the waste destined for the landfill, Reuse the products that have a second life, Recycle the rest!
There are lots of good building
materials here... solid pine kitchen cabinets, wood flooring, cedar paneling,
light fixtures, appliances, beams and boards, outdoor pavers and more, that can all be reused or re-purposed!
Call in the De-Constructors!
We've assembled a team of experts to accomplish our goal. Ron Nance with Resolve Environmental Engineering of Indianola will perform the necessary testing to ensure that no toxic materials enter the waste stream. David Bennink with Re-Use Consulting of Bellingham will provide his knowledge and expertise advising and assisting with the dis-assembly. Brett and Erik with Brett Marlo Design + Build from Fox Island will perform the systematic dis-assembly. Lee Rosenbaum and his crew of Bainbridge Island Excavating will provide the big equipment and do the final take down along with transport of products destined for recycling. Gavin with the Around Again Store, a non-profit in Sequim, will provide the transport trailer and receive the reusable products into his inventory for cleanup, resale and reuse.
Money saved on landfill fees, materials
reused, and jobs created!!
